Why Rooster’s Organic Chicken Compost?

Why Use Our Chicken Poo?

Simply, our organic chicken compost is a superfood for your plants. Our chicken compost tea kits are loaded with beneficial bacteria, vital nutrients such as nitrogen, that your plants need to flourish. Our tea kits are made with our premium organic compost produced from our locally grown chickens.

Rooster’s Organic compost also adds nutrients to your soil. Our compost contains a variety of the basic nutrients that plants require for healthy growth. In addition to the main three: nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium of special importance are the micronutrients found in our compost such as magnesium, copper, iron, and zinc. Micro-nutrients are only needed in small doses, like vitamins in our diet, but they play an important role in the plant’s ability to extract nutrients from other foods. In a commercial fertilizer, such as 10-10-10 micro-nutrients are often missing. Our compost is basically a free nutrient boost for your plants.

Research is showing us that soil treated with compost, tends to produce plants with fewer pest problems. Compost also helps control diseases and insects that might otherwise overrun a more sterile soil lacking natural checks against their spread.

At Rooster’s Organic, we have created a perfect blend of nitrogen and carbon from our Ohio raised chickens. The blend is mixed and transferred from bay to bay providing oxygen and keeping the compost covered. Temperatures are monitored in all phases on a daily basis. Monitoring temps and providing oxygen will break down the compost freeing our product of weed seed and harmful pathogens to guarantee an ideal compost is met. Once the composting phase is complete, the mixture enters a curing phase, then screened and ready to provide our customers with a productive recipe for your lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs and house plants.
