For raised flower beds and raised garden beds, start with 90% quality topsoil and thoroughly mix in 10% of Rooster’s Organic premium, Nitrogen-rich compost for superior nutrient and oxygen competition for plants.

Spread 1/8-inch of Rooster's Organic compost on flower gardens or vegetable gardens and till under 3-inches into the soil. A 15 lbs. of Rooster's Organic compost will cover approximately 64 sq. ft.

To avoid poor root growth and undesirable houseplants and potted plants, sufficiently blend 10% of Rooster's Organic compost into the soil to create a homogeneous mixture full of vital nutrients to help your indoor plants thrive.

Start by spreading a 1/8-inch layer of Rooster's Organic Premium compost on the bare soil at the base of trees and shrubs. Continue to spread outward to the canopy edge. Then cover the area with 2 to 3-inches with organic mulch. Do not pile mulch up against the stem or trunk – volcano mulching. Keep the mulch away from the stem or trunk by pulling it away from base creating a donut-hole.

To better fertilize your lawn first aerate the soil and then lightly rake. Next, broadcast (or use a walk behind broadcast compost spreader) to apply 1/8-inch of Rooster's Organic compost to your lawn. Take care not to bury grass blades smothering them keeping and keeping them from sunlight. Rooster's Organic is ideal for problem lawn areas also. A 15 lbs. of Rooster's Organic Premium compost will cover approximately 64 sq. ft.

Depending on the height of your turfgrass, broadcast 1/8 to 1/4-inch of Rooster's Organic Premium compost.
